Decisions for the Determined
Sometimes I feel like nothing is going right
And I just want to stop
Stop everything
It’s like I’m stuck in a path of four crossways
And here I am
Stuck in the middle
Destined to be stuck forever
And always
Just letting the pain absorb me as I fade away
The light is at the far end of the tunnel
But I’m too scared to cross it.
No one knows of the dangers in the darkness
And one must sacrifice everything to find the light
Even if the light is just a small flickering lantern.
We do so much for that light.
Always searching for new ways to achieve happiness when in reality
We’re not
And we feel like we never will be
And I’ll keep hoping and praying that someday I’ll succeed
In this maze called “Life”
The walls are too high
And the water is too deep
And I’m stuck here contemplating everything I can do.
I’m stuck deep in my thoughts when really
I should be acting
Why should I sit here and think when there is a world out there for me to explore?
Maybe if I’m determined I can get it done
Only if I’m really determined
I see the light coming closer
And I feel like I am ready for this.
I’m coming for you, Oh shining light!
