I Miss That Now
I no longer remember
How the tiny raindrops fell against my arm
The uncomfortable sticky, wet feeling
I miss that now
I no longer remember
how it felt to burn my skin in the sunlight
That exhausting, blinding feeling.
I miss that now
I no longer remember
How it felt to walk through crowds
Listening in on conversations
Sharing stolen glances
with every stranger I pass
I miss that now
I miss being out there in the world
I miss the feeling of being together
The world went by so fast
We never stopped to think for a moment.
We were so spoiled
But the funny thing is....
I no longer remember
How the tiny raindrops fell against my arm
The uncomfortable sticky, wet feeling
I miss that now
I no longer remember
how it felt to burn my skin in the sunlight
That exhausting, blinding feeling.
I miss that now
I no longer remember
How it felt to walk through crowds
Listening in on conversations
Sharing stolen glances
with every stranger I pass
I miss that now
I miss being out there in the world
I miss the feeling of being together
The world went by so fast
We never stopped to think for a moment.
We were so spoiled
But the funny thing is....
"I DON'T MISS THAT"
